When June comes around and my rose garden begins it’s first bloom I am truly enraptured. That’s the only word for it! I am taken each and every time anew, as if I had just chanced upon these flowers for the first time… and fall in love again.
I’ve had the idea to create around the June rose season many times, but it finally happened… in an all naturals pallette. 🙂
La Rose Béatifique is meant to express that feeling that my heart gets when I smell the June roses for the first time. It is all of the the sweet, happy pink roses in my garden with a fruity, violet flower smiling introduction, gorgeous orris butter heart, and an intoxicating incense drydown. It’s just what my heart desires.

Of Dawn’s all-natural rose perfumes, I like this one the best. For me, both out of the bottle and on my skin, the strawberry note wears very heavy. I do think this is because of my particular chemistry rather than the perfume itself. I definitely smell the ambrette in the top notes, and as I said in the middle notes I smell strawberry. As it dries down I smell a little more rose underneath. It is a beautiful, sweet, charming late spring – early summer fragrance that recalls gardens of roses in full bloom and berries so ripe you can smell their fragrance in the air.

The rose here is dewy and fresh, slightly sweet, and then the dry down reveals the incense which gives the scent a more grounded feel. I can’t say much on this scent that the description doesn’t, but I found it pleasant.

This smelled like honeyed roses. I got some of the frankincense and myrrh but it wasn’t overly strong like I thought it would be.
