Description
Truly forbidden: for this perfume I crossed the line. (Well, my own line).
When I first began designing perfume I came to conclusion very early on that there was one perfume I would not make, and that was a cherry perfume. To me it was not perfume… it was completely too sweet and syrupy in the worst way, and I refused. But things change, and materials arrive that can change your mind, too.
Then I began delving into the concept of “Les Fruits Defendus”, and exploring the idea of ‘cherry’ came right to the fore in terms of inspiration. From the Garden of Eden onward, it seems, cherries have been associated with youth (and virginity), and the loss of innocence. Sex and indulgence came up again and again while I was researching the lore and mythology of cherries. Oh what symbolism: this I had to create. (And I have to admit, that I just love fresh, ripe cherries! There’s nothing quite like the sensation and scent of black cherries in summer).
What developed was a wonderfully rich and sensual, but not at all childish, true cherry floriental. I have to admit it that its just so pretty. I never dreamed that I could love a cherry perfume this much!

One of the facets of this multi-faceted perfume is a subtle blue floral, which, amongst the other florals, counterbalances the fruitiness, the cherry juiciness, in an entirely unexpected way. Delicious! Not a single cloying note anywhere.

What a wonderful line of new fragrances! These have an excellent lasting power. This one is delightfully cherry—not too sweet. I can practically taste them. And Dawn is as nice as she is talented which is so rare. A pleasure!

For me it smells like the beginning of summer. Eating ripe, black, sweet cherries in the garden of blooming lilac. It reminds me of beautiful spring flowers and juicy cherries. Such a pretty fruity-floral that is impossible not to love!

What a beauty. Definitely not too sweet or cloying. I love it.

Love Eau Cerise! I have never smelled such a realistic cherry. The fragrance starts off a bit more floral leaning, but eventually opens up to delicious dark fruit. There’s a muskiness towards the end that’s rich, and dare I say sexy. It is not headache inducing or overly sweet which is a rare find when it comes to fruity perfumes.

This has to be one of the most beautiful scents I have ever smelled! It’s very sophisticated, I can’t stop smelling the sample I received. This one will definitely be my next purchase.

Delightful sweet, tart cherry with a subdued floral touch and a slightly powdery dry down. A wonderfully bright scent without any syrupy sweetness. Delicious !

Not a fan of fruit scents, but this one is sexy, deep and doesn’t smell at all like candy.

A beautiful, photo-realistic cherry fruit perfume that unfortunately has one fatal flaw – it has a noticeable wax note on me, which makes it go into “luxury candle” territory for me unfortunately. The wax note disappears only at the very end of the wear. Other than the wax note, the fruity notes transition into a beautiful musk at the end.
Could’ve been a 5 star from me if not for the wax note. Despite my 3 star experience, I still suggest sampling it because my skin likes to amplify weird notes sometimes. You might be luckier than me!

The scent list may seem complicated, but this perfume smells very fresh and floral to me, or rather the “fishy” smell of flowers. It’s not limited to a particular type of flower, it’s the smell of “fresh flowers”, a lot of flowers piled up in a florist’s memory.
The scent paper is placed next to it, and the smell that comes from it is like a handful of flowers around you.

This is not a sweet or syrupy cherry. It’s sophisticated and a bit dusky. I also think it’s a bit mysterious. I get the flower notes, but they don’t overwhelm the cherry notes. When I wear this I sometimes feel I am on a picnic in a field surrounded by fruit tress. Sometimes I feel I am in a drawing room drinking a cherry cordial. It’s very lovely.
