    Something Blue was my very first full-bottle purchase (more than 6 years ago) from DSH Perfumes. Florals have always been a hard sell for me; I normally can’t do Big White Florals, preferring woody, spicy, and gourmand scents most of the time. I was therefore stunned to find myself purchasing this after my first sampling of a number of DSH perfumes. Six years and many, many DSH ful-bottle purchases later, I still love it. This is a soft, sweet, and utterly feminine fragrance, with a delightful hydrangea top note, followed by freesia (very carefully done, and not domineering – this is the ONLY fragrance I’ve ever been able to wear with a freesia note in it), ivy, linden blossom, sweet pea, and a gentle violet. Fittingly, there are no musk or vanilla basenotes, as either would gradually overwhelm this delicate little fragrance; instead, Brazilian vetiver and orris stay well in the basenote background. This would be a great first fragrance for a young woman, but it’s also a truly soft, clean, and romantic fragrance as well. This is a perfect scent for summer.
