It’s here: the final design in the Iris Trilogy: ManRoot**. As the deepest and most non-traditional of the Iris imaginings, this one features many roots and gives the feeling of deep grounding, calm energy, and oneness with the Earth. And don’t let the name fool you. Although this design leans toward more of what is traditionally considered ‘masculine’ in Western perfumery scent profiles, it’s delicious on women and pulls power from the deep feminine. (And since we all have a man and a woman inside of us, it’s for Earthlings).
I, for one, can use all of the grounding and sense of belonging that I can get; ManRoot really sets the tone beautifully.
**”Man Root” is a term generally used to describe Panax Ginseng (one of the root notes in this design) which felt perfectly suited to this mix of gorgeous root notes accentuating the carroty-root nature of Orris (Iris Root).

I admit, I almost wrote this one off because of the name. I am so glad I didn’t. It is a fantastic perfume that explores the rooty, earthy facets of orris. I don’t know what ginseng smells like on its own, but it may be responsible for the freshly-unrooted plant accord I get from this perfume. There’s a touch of vetiver in there too. Leans masculine but easily unisex if you enjoy the earthy aspects of orris. If you like Paradisus or Iris Bleu Gris, I would recommend checking this out.
