This is one of my favorite perfumes, one of my “signature scents”. A unique luxurious floral with heady intoxicating orange blossom, cistus, honey, mimosa, carnation, drying down to slightly ambery- sandalwood like beeswax. It is a floral that can be warn any time of the year. I have never been to France, but I imagine when I smell it that I am in Grasse in the summer time, walking amongst fields of flowers. It also layers well with tubereuse.

When I smell Parfum De Grasse, it immediately brings me to a classic era. I am a classic movie buff, and it strikes me as a scent I would have smelled in an earlier era. I like to buy antique perfume bottles, and occasionally I will open one that has a lingering scent that is still quite nice. You can distinguish that the scent is not from this time. To me, this scent is similar. After dry down, I am left with a scent that smells like the smell of warmed mimosa soft like a non-overbearing scented powder.

There is a little bit of a crisp sharpness in the opening of this scent that mellows beautifully into something I can’t stop sniffing. It’s sunny and bright, yet gentle and pink.

There is something that is both unusual, and yet, familiar, with this scent. It’s classic with a contemporary hint – definitely on the list to recommend to someone.

A masterpiece of floral lyricism–naturally bedded, transportive in its seasonal spring freshness (I can almost smell the dew on the petals), so sweet, yet without a single cloying or acrid, ‘dusty’ note.

I’ve been to a beautiful place outdoors. Fields of grasses and flowers. I spent the day in this place. I walked, touched and brushed against everything growing, I sat under a tree in the shade, next to some moss and took a nap somewhere along the way in one of the fields. That’s odd because I really don’t do that kind of thing – nap in a field.
Apparently, leaves and flowers, pollen, bees and a gentle wind collected all the scents together on me.

After I tried the sample, I didn’t write any notes down in my sample “notebook” – I placed an order.
Recommend to get the Vdp, you are going to want to spray it head to toe.

When I wear Parfum de Grasse, I feel I can smell sunshine and soil, dewy moss, beeswax and a warm spring breeze carrying with it a remarkable melody of jasmine, rose, carnation, everything blooming and green and alive. There’s a resinous thing in the base that reminds me just a little of Parfum d’Hermes. It’s as if I was a young girl sitting on the log bridge we kids had built across the brook at the bottom of my grandparent’s meadow in May. Gorgeous. (I have the parfum version)
