Pompeii strikes me as a regal scent – it is powerful and strong initially and eventually becomes a bit more soft. It is not sweet or floral but more of a crisp scent.

I was expecting more of a sophisticated floral, but that’s not what I found with Pompeii. This is a confident and smoldering citrus scent; it conjures orange trees and spice with a fiery heart. There is indeed an elusive and mysteriously volcanic sensibility to this fragrance, just as the name suggests. I found it a bit too masculine for my own tastes, but it is sexy and just gorgeous on my guy.

This fragrance starts off with a bright citrusy neroli then becomes a warm smooth jasmine that stays close to the skin but gives me a “sunny day” feeling. Not indolic or heavy, instead this is a very user-friendly white floral.
