For our Holiday scent, 2011, we went ‘old school’… a kind of nostalgic remembrance of holidays past and the designs I used to create when living in Boston and how the season felt to me there. Of course, the name recalls the old-world caravans that carry spices from exotic lands to our homes.

I love the ambery, spicy notes in this perfume–it’s great on its own, but I purchased the solid perfume as I LOVE to layer fragrance. Can’t wait to try this with some blood orange body spray, or to add a spicy bass note to rose oil or to enhance and augment other amber perfumes.

A richer, deeper, rounder version of Indus.
Here the oils are blended more heavily than with the Indus composition, the latter seemingly a blend of fresh ground spices. Here I get the feeling of the great perfumes from the 1940s – heavy, sophisticated, mature.
Notes include: Amber, Cedarwood, Cardamom, Carnation, Coriander, Vanilla, Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine with Frankincnese, Myrrh, Parchouli and Oakmoss as base notes.
Indus for the young, Caravan Spice for the mature. Both excellent ambers spice orientals.

What a lovely sexy perfume!
The spice, floral and amber notes are well balanced.
However, the frankincense gives it an exotic appeal.
Caravan Spice lasts longer on my skin than other fragrances. This one is a must try !

Another beautiful fragrance from DSH. This is a very warm perfume. It starts with a blast of spices: on me cinnamon is the strongest. As the cinnamon fades, this becomes a beautiful scent of spicy amber. This will keep you warm during the coldest winter nights.

Opens with fresh, fragrant cinnamon and black pepper, joined by a splash of sweet citrus. Resinous frankincense merges with the citrus, creating a smooth, golden glow that draws out subtle notes of soft woods. An aromatic blend of spices emerges, led by bright ginger and warm clove Their heat draws the soft woods forward, followed by luxurious amber resins that infuse the scent with a rich depth.
Red rose petals and fragrant vanilla beans are scattered over the spices, joining the luminous citrus to give this festive scent a unique vibe that conjures up images of Silk Road merchants and bustling, ancient markets. A vibrant, warm scent that is perfect for the holidays.
A Terp –
This is a beautiful, warm fragrance. It’s cozy in cold weather and I used up the sample I received quickly. I enjoy layering it with MaccaBees and think it would layer well with other sweet fragrances. I plan to buy a larger size and keep it in my rotation for the colder seasons.
