This is a gorgeous fragrance for the holidays but I found it to evolve into a very masculine scent on me so I am giving it as a holiday gift, and I know it will be loved!

This scent is one that you must allow to settle a bit to take on the warmth of your skin to allow it to evolve into it’s character. The composition of this scent is less about distinct notes, and more about the overall blend. In saying that, the experience I have is I smell warm, and sensual with no notes that take the for front, other than the initial burst of Bergamot. This is a unisex scent. For me it does not carry to much into the masculine side or feminine side. I do like to smell girly and do not find it overt to either sex. This can be a layering scent that will make a scent warmer and deeper. It would be a nice introduction for someone wanting to experience warmer scents or scent layering.

This scent is really comforting. Like warm, soft, creamy, gingery, winter spices. My skin tends to make scents sweeter so this does not read masculine on me at all. More like the perfect coffee/gingerbread cookie straight from the oven.

Delicious spice cake scent but does not smell synthetically sweet. I love this fragrance, and it’s a stand out for longevity and projection among the VdP samples I purchased. Must try for anyone who loves gourmands!

Opens with the comforting aroma of toasting spices: bright, sweet ginger, cozy cardamom and a twist of fresh black pepper fill the air. The scent of steamed milk soon follows, rich and creamy with a smooth finish and a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar.

The warm, nutty scent of roasted coffee beans emerges, however, it is extremely subtle, I think I would have had a hard time picking it out if I wasn’t looking for it. I was really hoping for something coffee-forward, so I’m curious to try this in the EDP to see if that helps at all. This is probably my skin chemistry though, coffee tends to either take over or completely disappear on my skin.

Although this isn’t exactly what I was looking for, this is a beautifully spiced cream, very warm and cozy with a soothing dry down of sweet musk.

I’ve tried my sample of Lumiere a 1ml VdP) twice. The first time, I wrote in my notes, “Delicious yet faint, gourmand cardamom creaminess.” It’s been 20 days, and I tried it again today on clean skin, did a decent slather. It’s become an even fainter skin musk with a hint of vanilla and spice. Although I wish I was getting the coffee, I do still love the scent that I’m getting. It’s comforting and warm and snuggly, though faint. Skin chemistry is a funny thing!
