My husband fell in love with this smell instantly. It smells exactly how you would expect–strong, sweetened black coffee. Dark, compelling, energizing, and intimate–the unmistakable topnotes mellow down into a warm, sexy burnt caramel on my husband’s skin. Perhaps too sweet for some men’s taste, but not nearly as sweet as Aquolina’s Blue Sugar (also for men), and without the anise in the base. This scent is just what I need to rouse me on a grey morning, or accompany late nights over our piano. Surprisingly complex.

This is a nice clean coffee aroma. Lasting power is better than some of the other DSH scents, but I still wish natural perfumes lasted as long on me as other cheaper and less appealing ones do. But this is nice alone, or with Cafe Noir.

Is the most authentic coffee smell I’ve ever had the pleasure of sampling. I had to buy a bottle immediately after smelling it. It has that wonderful aroma of when you walk into a Star Bucks & a Dunkin Donuts combined. Yum! Yum! I layer it with Au Lait (which is milk flavor and the DSH Formula Extreme in the Oils and the Parfum Sprays. Utterly delicious. I smell like a caramel Latte w/ whipped cream. I want to bite my own skin and so does my Romeo!!! What could be more enticing! These are my signature fragrances. I found them. They layer utterly beautifully.
I just want to say something here about Dawn’s oils. Though the 4 oz bottle may seem kind of small, it is deceptive. The oils are magnificent and I only use 8 drops per leg. I put the drops in the palm of my hand and start to rub at my foot and then I pull the oil up my leg over and over. As it heats up from the warmth of my skin it begins to just melt and spread so beautifully. WOW!!! I love you guys. I am a loyal Life Time customer. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Very authentic, straight-up, coffee. I haven’t smelt any other coffee frag that gives you exactly coffee the way this does. It is terrific, I just wish it was much stronger.

This fragrance broke my heart. I got a sample and used it exclusively the past 2 days. At first whiff, it is gorgeous: coffee! Dark, slightly bitter, but also slightly creamy and sweet coffee! What’s not to love? Reviewers above, though, write of a lack of strength and longevity. I experienced this. I experience about 5 minutes of delectable coffee and then Poof! I am wondering, however, if a different format would be more long-lived–either the body lotion or the solid perfume. Perhaps the oily bases of these products would give the fragrance better “legs” on my body.

Perfect and basic coffee scent, without the cloying sweetness that tends to make coffee perfumes smell like liqueur.
I tested the VdP sample, which lasted nearly two hours on my skin if I’m being generous about the barely there skin scent towards the end. Unfortunately short-lived, but it works great in layering to bring out more of the coffee scent in other perfumes.

Initial burst of coffee quickly became a sweet/warm skin-scent and then disappeared on me. I enjoyed it and if I was the type to reapply my scent throughout the day I might consider it but it just didn’t last on me.

It smells exactly like dark coffee grounds (wet) and remains that way throughout the wear. I didn’t find it sweet or bitter – just the smell of coffee. An excellent choice for people who want to smell like a coffee shop.

Looking for a real authentic coffee perfume? Look no further! This is it forever. It’s not just coffee. It’s the best most memorable cup of espresso you’ve ever had but on you. I use this one a lot with the milk scents. They lay together exquisitely. Sometimes after I take a bath I’ll oil myself up w/ Dawn’s DSH Special Formula X or X-Treme & then spritz this on each pulse point. On date night I knock it out of the park every time!

This is a realistic, plain dark coffee scent. No complaints on this front. For cons, I found that the longevity (VdP) was very short, about 1-2 hours generously. I expected this since it’s a single note in a less concentrated format, though. If I were to full size, I would probably get it in EdP, solid perfume, or as a lotion.
