My nose is delighted with an immediate detection of caramel, vanilla, and although I don’t see chocolate listed, there seems to be a nuance of it. To me it smells a bit like when you first open a new box of cordial cherry chocolates. But rather than the emphasis on cherry or chocolate, the emphasis to me is creamy, dreamy, sweet Tonka, more the creamy white center of the cordial chocolate. I want to eat it. This is definitely a polite gourmand. My only desire is that it last longer and a bit stronger, since it is so delectable!

I feel so blessed to have a chance to sample Cordial – I am so taken in ! I thought it would make me think of cherries and candy…. but instead it evokes a moment of darkly smooth red wine with subtle notes of dark cherries and oak, sitting by a camp fire and maybe a stick of incense, near the woods, on one of the first cool evenings of fall, with very good company 😉 A wonderful moment that you want to last forever.

Cordial is a gourmand that’s perfect for the colder weather, but it’s not cloying or overly sweet. I enjoy all of Dawn’s holiday scents and this one is no exception. 🙂

Cordial reminds me of the scents of a holiday party. Pumpkin pie spices, liquor, and delicious, creamy, vanilla and cherry desserts. I also detect just a bit of smokiness and woods. I love wearing this in the winter. Absolutely gorgeous perfume.

Cordial was almost too sweet for my taste at first, but I have grown over time to seriously CRAVE it. Absolutely a delight on a cold evening having just come from the shower and into crisp cotton pajamas. It smells like lacy browned hard sugar edges of some butter-tinged dessert, without significant butter or lactonic notes directly in my field of view. It gives me the impression that there are more festive treats somewhere nearby, just a little away from whatever steam-waft I am smelling on this proverbial holiday table. I also sense some faint ambient chocolateyness in the background giving dimension to the caramelly sugar. Photorealistic to a degree that wakes up my appetite.
