“Bacchanal”, an Autumnal grape vineyard chypre scent, is our first official release of one of Dawn’s many *Instagram Livestream fragrances. It was sketched out and worked on, live, while participants not only followed along with our first “smell along box” of materials, but gave feedback and suggestions to help guide and mold the design concept.
During the 4 weeks that Bacchanal was created, new materials were introduced to complete the overall perfume (beyond the initial materials included in the “smell along box”. This is the completed, macerated fragrance; ready to compliment your Autumn experience as we get ready to dive into the Winter / Holiday Season.

This completely defied my expectations, as I was expecting a hedonistic grape scent, but this isn’t quite that…It’s definitely alcoholic for a max of two seconds when I apply it but that’s more likely due to it being an EDP than a cognac scent. It smells a bit like muscat with lots of intriguing, slightly bitter greens supporting it. Overall quite dry and not very sweet, and more of the floral elements unfold with wear. It’s much more refined and almost mature. I think jasmine is the strongest floral here, it’s not too indolic and rather creamy and light. That said, I could definitely see floral haters not liking this because the combo of cognac + jasmin could be a bit much for those sensitive to it. That said, I don’t find it very stinky even though there’s patch + oakmoss + jasmine in it, and I tend to “enhance” potent scents. The drydown is an oakmossy jasmine. After resting for a bit, more of a powdery rose comes through in the drydown. Very enjoyable, I’m not sure I would wear it in a professional setting (just because I’m not sure if others would interpret it the same), but this would be perfectly suited for a garden party or some other revelrous affair!
