Objets d’Art created for exhibition “The Game of Pearls, Prune de Madame, and Other Phantasia (As Confided to the Rusch Womxn)”.  (2023 exhibition at Ruschwoman Gallery, Chicago, IL)

Each antique flacon has been hand embellished with 14kt Gold-fill / Sterling Silver wire and semi precious gemstones.  All are signed and numbered with a card.

**Only 4 /  7 ml  flacons and  1 / 10 ml gemstone flacon per olfactory experience have been created. – All are SOLD.

**Original Art Pieces are the visual, synesthetic interpretations of the fragrances created in conjunction with this gallery show.  To order one of these pieces, please specify which piece in the order notes box during checkout.  A certificate of Authenticity will be provided for visual pieces.

Description

1). Phantasia: Aldehydes are So French: paraphrasing artist Sands Murray-Wassink, this design embodies the overarching quality in perfume and ‘scented embellishment’; to be beautified.
DSH’s original mixed media visual work expresses in visual form, the fragrance “Phantasia: Aldehydes are So French”.
**fragrance notes:  gold and silver aldehydes, bergamot, leafy green accord, violet, rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, carnation, beeswax, sandalwood, benzoin, musk, and civet.
7 ml Art Deco Embellished Flacon – (4 pieces have been created – SOLD) – prehnite & 14kt Gold-fill wire. (Objet d’Art 1)
10 ml Art Deco Embellished Flacon – one of a kind – gemstones (prehnite, rose quart, rock crystal, citrine, and peridot)and 14kt Gold-fill and Sterling Silver wire.    1 unique piece has been created.  (Objet d’Art 1.B) – SOLD

2). Black T: a modernist embellished ‘simplexity’ concerning texture and shifts in light / color.  Inky black with translucent white.  Metallic interference pigment of blue and gold play with the senses.
DSH’s mixed media / olfactory interpretation of Black T imagery in the exhibition.
**fragrance notes:  metallic aldehydes, sumi ink & indigo dye accords, salty linen accord, cotton paper accord, orris root powder, sugar cube accord, ambergris, and musk.

10 ml Art Deco Embellished Flacon – one of a kind – gemstones (black opal, labradorite, and rock crystal) and 14kt Gold-fill and Sterling Silver wire.    1 unique piece has been created. (SOLD)  (Objet d’Art 2.B)

3) Powder Puff & Pearls:  the composite cosmetics fragrance… filled with creamy luminosity and light / sparkling powders.
DSH’s visual interpretation is a textural interplay of powdery / cosmetic and “pearly”
**fragrance notes:  lipstick and face powder accords, violet, neroli, orris, rose, pearlescent jasmine accord, sandalwood, cosmetic cream accord, and musk.

10 ml Art Deco Embellished Flacon – one of a kind – gemstones (keishi sea pearls and flat & mini fresh water pearls, amethyst, pink opal, and pink fresh water pearls) and 14kt Gold-fill and Sterling Silver wire.   1 unique piece has been created. (SOLD)  (Objet d’Art 3.B)

4). Madame Le Prune:  a crossing of traditional and modern constructive styles; traditionally held notions of masculine / feminine fragrance notes.   Vintage referencing… elegant, decadent, they/them.
DSH’s visual art references the synesthetic experience of the fragrance.  A fruity floral chypre (a la Germaine Cellier).
**fragrance notes:  galbanum, bergamot, aldehydes, prune, cassis, rose, violet, orris, jasmine, ylang ylang, carnation, sandalwood, patchouli, caramel, cocoa absolute, tobacco, ash, leather, vetiver, oakmoss, musk, civet, castoreum, and ambergris.
7 ml Art Deco Embellished Flacon – (4 pieces have been created – SOLD) – flat mystic fresh water pearl & 14kt rose gold-fill wire.

10 ml Art Deco Embellished Flacon – one of a kind – gemstones (dark amethyst, peridot, black jade, pyrite, flat mystic fresh water pearl, and green seashell pearls) and 14kt rose gold-fill wire and Sterling Silver wire.  1 unique piece has been created.  (SOLD) (Objet d’Art 4.B)

    So happy to be the first to review. (Prune de Madame) I so recommend this, but I am not sure it’s for everyone. It’s mysterious and moody and odd in the very best way. Traditional and not traditional all at the same time. It needs some adventurous to wear it. Try the sample first because it is, I think, very skin specific. One of my new absolute favorites because it is so different.
