This is truly a milestone: 25 years of creating Holiday Fragrances!!
It’s hard to believe that I have been creating a new Holiday scent to celebrate the season for 25 years now. Wow. Every year has been an immense pleasure to contemplate the energy of the year that’s almost through as well as the myriad ways one could express the palpable feelings the Holiday Season evokes through fragrance.
This years inspiration felt somehow clearer than many in the past… I felt a sense of lightheartedness; and a sort of shimmering tone mixed with the cozy softness of cashmere was the essence that felt right to me. Snow Angels presents a kind of simplicity and yet, there are some textural shifts and cool-to-warm phases that make the fragrance interesting, and truly a pleasure to wear.
Snow Angels opens with a frosty and sparkling snow accord that quickly bring forth a white hawthorn blossom note. Hawthorns blossom early, often while there is still plenty of snow and to my mind, these delicate blossoms mimic the lightness of new fallen snow. The heart note continues the wintery-white theme with a fluffy white rice accord accented by pillow-y mimosa. It all lies on a bed of cashmere musk and a soft sugar cookie dough accord… not too sweet or buttery but filled with warmth and a kind of child-like happiness. Laced within the sugar cookie dough accord are accents of lemon zest and subtle almond… just enough to bring the holidays to life.

i JUST RECEIVED A SAMPLE OF THIS! IT’S DELICIOUS!
It reminds me of a fluffy white, luxurious blue-eyed kitten.
I imagine I’d take a hot bath & then put on the oil. Then I’d spritz my whole body w/ Snow Angel & put on my casheme, angora white as snow sweater in honor of this perfume.
Snow Angel is the perfect name for this. If snow was feminine & fragrant this would be it decoded & poured into a bottle. Thank you for this one, Dawn!
Now I have to go & purchase the biggest bottle DSH makes!

The snowy air note in this is really impressive! It really just does smell “cold,” I don’t get any menthol or other distracting notes from it. On a different point, I have to stop ordering perfumes with floral notes and expecting them to not be prominently floral LOL. I honestly got this just for the sugar cookie note, but this goes primarily crisp, white florals on me. The cashmere and sugar cookie dough sit at the base to add some fluffy texture and sweetness. There is also the slightest bit of that freshly-cooked starchy rice airiness.
