Light, non-obtrusive musky skin scent. I do love the scent but I wish it had a bit more sillage. Not overly sweet which I like.

This is I adore, and my boyfriend adores it on me. I love the slight addition of heliotrope. It gives it that little something that gives it such a lovely feminine scent without being too sweet. I also adore the touch of sandalwood and citrus notes, which feels so bright and clean. I can’t stop smelling myself with this on.

I bought this in the body lotion format. From the description and reviews, it sounded like something lovely to apply after a shower, before bedtime–preparing oneself for blissful slumber. However, to me this smelled exactly like Au Lait, of which I have the body lotion of this as well. I am not sure if I am anosmic to certain notes, and thus one fragrance might smell exactly like another to me because of some shared notes. Part of me did indeed wonder, thought: could the bottle have been labeled incorrectly? That said, it is a gentle fragrance, comforting and soft. But it is–to my nose–just too similar to Au Lait, and will probably gift this to someone. Lest I sound too critical, the quality of the lotions is wonderful: emollient, not greasy–very luxurious!

Little Smile is similar to Au Lait, but I would say LS is more delicate, more nuanced, and less sweet. It is the kind of scent I am happy to wear at any time of the day and in any season! There are hints of herbal, green, fresh notes. This is such a comforting and beautiful fragrance!

The vanilla is the heaviest note here but not sugary or overpowering, with a floral aura around the center, and the orange sort of lingers in the background for me, lifting it all up. I didn’t like this too much on first try, but after a second go the powdery nature of this is less offensive to me, as someone who doesn’t go for that sort of thing. It’s a comforting scent that feels sweet without being saccharine, and feels nostalgic without being childish.

This is such a beautiful, tender and not at all offensive fragrance that reminds me of the scent of my baby boy in the best way possible. It also reminds me of milk and vanilla sauce. For me this is how I want a vanilla or milky perfume to behave, and I prefer this over all so called vanilla scents I have sampled and tried. Round and kind, not at all sharp or “perfumey”, neither initially or in the drydown. I cant imagine anyone beeing offended by this scent.
I have a sample of the VDP, and find I wish the longevity and sillage was stronger. I will therefore order the concentrated voile version and also the scented lotion to apply on skin before the perfume, as I understand this should at least help with the longevity on my skin. I got this tip from DSH and Dawn herself☺️
Oh, and by the way: I tried layering Little Smile with Green Rhubarb + Cane Sugar and they play so very well together, with the freshness of Green Rhubarb+Cane Sugar adding some “outdoors” and “spike” to the gentle, milky roundness of Little Smile. They both play very well alone too, and I would describe both as very kind, non-offensive and comfortable scents, yet very different from each other.
