Green Rhubarb + Cane Sugar

$6.00 – $185.00

An intensely refreshing, almost watery – green rhubarb fragrance with undertones of rose, jasmine, and soft woods.  In the drydown there’s the hint of cane sugar, but the overall feel is quite bright, and not terribly sweet.

Description

Green Rhubarb + Cane Sugar is a new and gloriously refreshing take on a ‘rhubarb soliflore’ made primarily with a naturals palette of isolates, essential oils, and absolutes.   The result is such a juicy and uplifting aroma it makes me feel just like a kid again:  sitting on my swing set,  crunching on freshly cut rhubarb stalks dipped in granulated sugar from a paper dixie cup.  The sugar note adds to the sense of a “crunchy texture” in the perfume as the intensely tart juice mixes with the melting sugar in your mouth.    The sensation is a little slice of heaven.  Enjoy! 🙂

I love the sour and sweet of this perfume. And the texture! I don’t know how I can smell the crunch, but I can. The rhubarb note also really rings true.

Love this fragrance! I won a 30ml bottle in a giveaway last year and it’s been a pleasure to wear this fragrance in the warmer months. I’ll bet Aunt Bee’s kitchen from the Andy Griffith Show smelled just like this fragrance in the summer. It’s difficult to find fragrances that utilize rhubarb as a note, but this one is certainly a winner!

This was definitely one of the favourites of the 13 samples I ordered. It reminds me of rhubarb, but it does so much more than this! It smells like outdoors and summer. A very comfortable green fragrance, without slapping you in the face with green. It smells like nature, not like a perfume, and I mean that in the best way possible. It smells like leaves, little flowers, grass and rhubarb.

I tried layering this with Little Smile, and they play so very well together, with the freshness of Green Rhubarb+Cane Sugar adding some “outdoors” and “spike” to the gentle, milky roundness of Little Smile. They both play very well alone too, and I would describe both as very kind, non-offensive and comfortable scents, yet very different from each other.

I have the VDP sample of Green Rhubarb + Cane Sugar. My only complaint is that on my skin it has poor longevity. I will therefore order the concentrated voile version and also order the lotion to put on the skin before adding the perfume on top. Hopefully this will help. I got this tip from DSH and Dawn herself☺️

Wow I didn’t expect to like this one, its so fresh and clean. The rhubarb is indeed tart and green and the sugar is not too sweet or dominant. This feels familiar like a 90’s shampoo or bath product but I also feel like I haven’t smelled something like this in 20 years and I might need a big bottle. Very crowd pleasing I feel like you could wear this around anyone at any occasion and it would fit in just fine. I must note that like others have mentioned the scent does fade faster than others so I might order a higher concentration in the future.

I wanted to try something I wouldn’t normally, and I’m glad I did, but it wasn’t ultimately for me. I did like the green tang of it, and it certainly has a pleasantness to it.
