I grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York state which has gorgeously forested terrain with rivers, steams, ponds, and lakes. The NY summertime offers an especially potent mix of scents; a mesmerizing combination that creates a fragrant bouquet of minerals, humidity, woodlands, and green deciduous tree leaves.
Electric Summer is a fragrance born from my memories of growing up in this atmosphere; and the experience of my parents house in summer. Depending on where you were in the house, one might meet frigid, truly icy air conditioning (my dad is an air conditioning / refrigeration specialist) as well as what smelled like electrified heat and humidity in the upstairs of our old house. For me this memory is vivid and unmistakable; and gorgeous. It’s easily one of my favorite “scent memories”… and now, one of my favorite fragrances.

I found the description of Electric Summer so intriguing that I had to sample it. Though I grew up in Oregon, and aside from going into a store, air conditioning was not a part of my life. We recently had one the longest lasting, hottest summers in Oregon, and yesterday (end of October) it FINALLY rained. The smell after the rain reminds me of Electric Summer. I think it’s a wonderful scent. I’d buy a bottle if my husband liked it but he doesn’t. Luckily there are plenty of scents he does like, and more to try. I recommend trying Electric Summer to anyone who thinks it sounds interesting!

Looking forward to buying this for summer. I’m not into citrus or light scents so its hard to find a fragrance that works for the hot weather, but this ozonic green fragrance is it. Dawn has a knack for making scents that are weird and abstract but still infinitely wearable.

Electric Summer is an abstract work of art. It is green, cold, refreshing, atmospheric, and nostalgic. The “electric ozone” is what stands out most on my skin, and truly does smell like walking into a cold room with an air conditioner that has been running for hours. It is unlike anything I have ever smelled!

The most true ozone scent I’ve ever smelled. This smells places you’ve been before, on road trips and far away from home. It smells like an old hotel room that has been recently renovated. The crisp cold a/c blasts you and you need to turn it down but you let your face linger in the cold stream of air for a minute because it smells and feels awesome. You feel like you absolutely have to get in the pool on a hot humid day like this. The air outside smells like sweet trees or some fragrant desert bush.

I got this off the DSH’s etsy store and this is legitimately one of the best and most unique fragrances I’ve smelled (as admittedly a newbie). The electric ozone accord is very prominent at the beginning to the point of being slightly harsh, but it quickly dries down to a beautiful airy green. The whole fragrance just feels like AC on a hot summer day.
