The formula that I developed to “test” my clients’ skin types in order to get a better impression of their chemistry. SO many have remarked, “I love THAT… I want THAT!” that I have decided to give it you. It truly (and simply) amplifies your own skin and reflects it back as soft clean skin. *(DSH sfx can be classified as one of our “skin scents” that adds a natural, “not-too-perfumey” fragrance when worn as a “perfume”).
* EdP/VdP sample vials are filled.
**FYI: Voile de Parfum spray 1 ounce as well as the mini dram, 10 ml spray, 10 ml EdP or VdP perfume pen, or 2 oz spray Eau de Parfum and Voile de Parfum, oil essence, and subtle oil essence will be packaged in our original DSH Perfumes packaging style.

The idea behind this scent is so interesting! It is supposed to vary based on skin type. So in theory on some it should be floral, on some woody, on some powdery. On me it was a clean, laundry-soap musk. Not unpleasant, but not my favorite scent. In the name of science I tested it out on my immediate family – they all smelled more or less the same. On the guys it was more peppery, almost. I’d really love to discover how much it can really vary. I’m trying to figure out exactly what this skin-type-result means for future perfume experiments. Some scents I love in the bottle but smell sickly or acrid on my skin, and it would be great to be able to predict what those are. Anyway, as an idea, three stars, but not a perfume I’d wear. Definitely worth buying at a sample, just to test it out!

I really love this treasure, for years! I usede it before I discovered Special Formula x-treme, the lather is a little stronger, but both are the same kind of great. It is a skinscent, but people that come close to you will sure notice.

I really like this scent in the eau de parfum formula- I’d give it a 5. For my most recent order I purchased the voile de parfum. I was shocked at how different it smells. Also the feel on the skin is different in the VdP- in my case it gave me a rash.
When switching between formulas of the same scent I’d recommend getting a sample even if you like one version very much. My bottle of VdP is headed for the trash.
When I can afford it I will purchase the eau de parfum again.

I’ve read about “FormulaX” in many Japanese beauty magazines, and finally got a chance to try this GEM!
(DSH is so popular among beauty influencers in Japan!)
I like the idea of finding your own special scent by using this FormulaX to determine your skin(scent) type.
It’s very light soft gentle sweet sugar like scent and lasted for a very long time to me.
After about 7 hours, then it became more like a soapy scent.
(I wonder what type of scent is fit to my skin scent type?)
I’d like to discover more about my scent type and hope to find my “IT” scent from DSH, soon!

If you enjoy clean citrus musks like Mugler Cologne, Neroli Portofino, or YSL Y, this is a subtle skin scent version that although subtle surprisingly lingers throughout the day as a “your skin but better” aroma. Whereas scents like DSH Cafe Noir are maximalist, Special Formula X is minimalist, and sometimes that’s exactly what one wants. For a stronger version with more presence, check out the X-treme version.

I fell madly & obssessively for this scent! Then Dawn created DSH Special Formula X-treme for those of us that wanted it …well more extreme. I adore that one too but I am still loyal to the 1st as well because she’s just too lovely to part with.
