Description

Our Limited Edition Collection would not be complete without a special Holiday Fragrance.

Nourouz, named for the New Year celebration traditional in Persia, is as exciting as it’s name.  Based on luscious tamarind and sensuous paprika, this is a perfume that smolders and sizzles.  Rest assured, I don’t leave home without it all year long.

Wow, I am so pleased to see that this fragrance is currently a DSH ‘bestseller’! I bought this fragrance when it was the December 2007 Holiday perfume known as Tamarind/Paprika. I fell for it instantly; its deep, dry spiciness, the peppery kick of paprika, and the pulpy, pungent tamarind are intriguing topnotes. In the drydown, a definite tobacco note emerges, along with a dark red rose, a hint of orris, and a very dark, unsweetened vanilla. The scent becomes richer and more dimensional over time. If you like Miller et Bertaux #2 Spiritus/Land, YSL Nu, or other dry and spicy Oriental scents, you will enjoy this. If you love Chergui (as I do), but sometimes are in the mood for a less sweet version, give this a try. I continue to wear and love this fragrance.

I loved this immediately! Paprika is one of my favorite notes and works so well in this complex fragrance. Nourouz is dry spice with subtle smoke but not so much that it turns bitter or “sneezy”. Instead, its character I would describe as smooth, warm, exotic, sophisticated; just so well blended. Although I choose perfumes only to suit myself, this one has garnered a lot of questions about what it is that I’m wearing.

There is an undertone of rich dark fruit like raisins and currants that balances the Eastern spice notes so well. I really love this one. It is unique and approachable

i am obsessed with this perfume. the tamarind note is striking and it’s a perfect winter perfume – initially i thought it was a little too much for every day wear but the more i wore it the more i loved it! cozy, smokey, just a little touch of sweet – don’t want to be without it.
