I don’t understand why no one has reviewed this beauty before. It’s the perfect amber if you, like me, like some sweetness. I discovered this through the scented lotion that Dawn included as a free gift last year, and I’ve enjoyed it so much I finally had to try the VdP and then the oil essence. It’s elegant, smooth, and feminine (at least on my skin–others’ mileage may of course vary), and somehow gives me the sense of having a touch of vanilla and the lightest whiff of citrus. A wonderful staple for everyone’s fragrance wardrobe and a glorious layer with other fragrances.

I have this in the body lotion and it’s sooooo good. No other perfume needed – the lotion is a beautiful hydrating texture and the fragrance lasts and lasts. I don’t feel the need to layer, but it’s a great base to layer other scents.

Wow, this is beautiful — a rich, resinous amber with creamy labdanum, smooth myrrh, and soft, warm musk. It’s sweetened by dark, raw honey with notes of delicate white florals and balsamic tree resins. Silky vanilla peeks out from the heart of the scent, its subtly lactonic qualities contrasting with the honey’s balsamic note. This is much more honey-forward than I had expected, but it’s not gourmand or cloying, it reminds me a lot of sourwood honey.
The sweetness softens as it dries down revealing a rich, creamy amber with comforting musks and hints of honeyed woods. Though the opening evokes feelings of ancient royalty and luminous temples, it fades to a pure, comforting amber musk that is absolutely timeless.

Wow, this is a stunning amber! Absolutely perfect. Warm, deep, rich and resinous with a smooth sweetness that slowly emerges as it dries. The oil is thick and luxurious, just putting it on made me feel so fancy! I am looking forward to trying more of the oil essences as the sillage and longevity of this was so impressive.

This is one of those fragrances that somehow, whenever people get close to always ask what it is and then proceed to wax poetic about why they like it so much. Its divine, without being overwhelming – not to sweet with lots of deep notes – clearly some sensuality it activates with its hints of warmth and amber. Its a must have for a life time.. This is the finest, deepest, highest-quality amber I’ve ever had the privilege of smelling. I didn’t think I liked ambers very much before I smelled this. I also get an almost camphoraceous evergreen note on the back end as I wear it that I adore – the combination of the warm amber with the crisp woody note is intoxicating. I love it. Truly unisex.
