A warm, creamy incense – ambery scent.  It is soft and easy-going; a perfect introduction to incense fragrances without the overly resinous or overly smoky vibe.

This is a stunning perfume, one of my all time favorites for DSH. It opens with a glorious golden amber scent that is so well blended with the floral note to not necessarily be recognizable–it doesn’t say “bergamot” or anything particular, but is instead a beautiful sweet golden note, like a ray of sunlight breaking through clouds. The amber is the note that stays longest, and after initial heady topnotes fade (which takes a while–this is a DSH scent, so it is long lasting!), you’re left with lovely and rich amber. And it lasts, and lasts, and gets better with age–my little bottle is 7 or 8 years old now, and possibly even better than it was in the beginning. This is glorious!

    A true stunner.

A newly opened humidor, containing the freshest golden cherry tobacco, embracing vanilla, amber and frankincense.

This is the impression I get from Prophecy.

Another excellent choice for a body creme, as it is warm, uplifting and comforting, all at the same time.

One of the best “tobacco” scents I’ve encountered, although seemingly the scent contains none, cleverly blending other oils to simulate the impression of tobacco [Caron’s iconic Tabac Blond, for example].

Yet another fine blend of essential oils, resulting in a scent success.

Spectacular scent–ravishing in its seductive and associative power. I’ll leave the breakdown to other reviewers, but I heartily concur with everything the first two have said.

This is a light slightly sweet amber. There are some other notes I couldn’t identify until I read the other reviews. Another reviewer nailed it. On me, in addition to amber, I get a faint scent of cherry tobacco mixed with vanilla. A beautiful scent.

Opens with silky amber musk, creamy and golden. A splash of bright bergamot draws out smooth, warm woods that give the amber a cozy feel. The citrus becomes softer and sweeter, but I tend to amp citrus, and it ends up being a bit too strong for me, but the drydown is gorgeous, a creamy blend of resins with warm musk.

I might try this again and see if the citrus becomes less dominant with age because I really love everything else about this scent. But if you’re an amber lover who also likes citrus and/or it plays nicely with your skin chemistry, I would really recommend this one — from what I’ve read, the bergamot is quite subtle on most people.

Hmm, I’m not sure what it is, but this gets incredibly fruity once I put it on my skin. It reminds me a bit of NAVA’s **Vanilla Necropolis** (a bunch of red musks + vanilla + amber) as both become this kind of powdery, chalky, fruity scent. It reminds me a bit of smarties (the tablet candies, not the chocolates). I find some incense / red musk scents tend to do this on me, so may just be a body chemistry issue.
