Sometimes ideas just come out of nowhere. Well, maybe they come out of a walk in the woods. Special Formula X-TREEme is a mash up of the two. I mean, who wouldn’t want to smell like the most wonderful tree bark in the world AND have it mix with their skin chemistry in the best possible way? This concept of Formula X-TREEme is just that flash of inspiration. It’s the scent of me in the TREEs.

This was one of my perfume-hating fathers favourites among the 13 samples I ordered. (With the other favourites of his being DSH Special Formula X-treme, The Voices of Trees, Tenderness, Little Smile and Green Rhubarb + Cane Sugar). I have inherited my fathers hate for perfume, so to finally have discovered perfumes I actually like is a big deal, and these perfumes have one thing in common: they mostly are from DSH. My father is a lumberjack, and he said about Special Formula X-TREEme: “it smells just like my working clothes”. I have always loved the smell of my father when he comes home from work in the forrest. I am therefore a little unsure about whether I like this or The Voices of Trees better. They are both beautiful. This one is a little quiter than The Voices of Trees, and my father preferred this one. It smells like both skin and trees, well it smells like a lumberjack perhaps, without beeing loud☺️ However, since I want the scent to be a little louder I will order The Voices of Trees for startes. But probably will order this too later on.
