About This Product

What ever happened to those drama filled fragrances of the past?  The kind that makes an entrance and any room more vibrant and alive…?

When creating the ‘internal accords’ for the Giverny In Bloom ‘scent experience’, the task was to create the section of the garden filled with peonies, roses, and carnations.   The image came quite clearly: that this part of the design was singing of vibrant reds and pinks.   In the Artist’s garden it’s the “Reds and Pinks” that have the flair, fire, and dramatic spirit I was looking for.  There is nothing shy or hidden about these beauties; they fill the stage and sing the Opera of nature.

Dawn creates the best rose scents. I sampled so many other niche and indie fragrances for something that would signify deep rose. While there are great creations out there, a lot of the darker roses skewed too musky. I’m a huge fan of dirty animalics, musks, ambers, etc. — those categories make up most of my collection to be honest — but it wasn’t what I was looking for in a rose.

This is exactly what I was looking for: a dark rose that is almost wholly floral (to me) thanks to the carnation which lends it depth. This scent is the rose component of the Giverny in Bloom collection and truly brings to mind heavy roses in a garden setting. Love it!

Hot afternoon, buzzing bees, freshly watered flower bed full of roses and carnations, exuding intoxicating, humid fragrance. This was my first DSH fb purchase nearly 2 years ago and it still is a big favorite. I hardly ever finish a bottle of perfume these days (too much perfume!), but this one will be finished and replaced in the near future. A true rarity these days!
