Description
In the French Quarter, since the early 1800’s, an enigmatic (and delicious!) cocktail has been served to those in the know: the Sazerac. The drink is made with rye whiskey, absinthe, bitters, lemon zest, and sugar. It was an incredible adventure to create a fragrance speaking to the elegance of the Sazerac, giving a sense of the drink itself as well as imbuing it with a greater sense of atmosphere with added tobacco smoke, and hints of leather. The all botanical palette makes the journey all the more voluptuous.
Celebrate the Holidays with this extra special limited edition… Le Sazerac : vintage 2021.

Here I am in New Orleans sitting in the Roosevelt Hotel’s Sazerac Bar sipping my favorite NOLA drink!!!! Just got home from picking up a bottle of Le Sazerac and am completely over the moon with this delicious, boozy, mysterious scent that has transported me to one of my favorite places to visit. I can not believe how luscious this fragrance is. A fragrance to make you feel decadent and glamorous for sure.

I wore Le Sazerac all winter! It makes me feel like I’m sitting in a tufted leather armchair in the corner of a speakeasy. The best boozy fragrance in my collection. If I were a drink, I’d want to be a Sazerac. If I were a perfume, I’d want to be this one!

A lot of scents claim to be unisex (and of course they all are), but I feel this one truly is by societal standards. Smells like a delicious mixed drink with a dash of spice and some fresh squeezed citrus, though not overly gourmand, with a wood and leather adorned bar subtly in the background. Really nice on my female skin, and I think could make a nice gift for a man (especially a perfume hesitant one).

This scent manages to remind me exactly of a sazerac and its absinthe goodness without actually making me feel like I spilled booze on myself. There is a freshness to this as well to keep it from being to heavy. I’ve tried many wormwood fragrances and this is one of the best.

it absolutely smells dead on like a sazerac. perfect evening time perfume – a little sultry and sophisticated and glam but still with that cozy lingering dry down

Well, Sazerac is one of my most loved cocktails, so needless to say I’m very happy just at the mere fact that this perfume exists. But it is also blended so well and smells so so delicious. There’s no roughness that’s often present in many boozy scents, but razer mellow flavorful “wet” sweetness. It manages to capture that “fresh and heavy/dense” nature of the drink itself, that special kind of wormwood freshness sprinkled with citrus bitters and bound by spices and sugar. I just can’t get enough of it. And I’ve been getting immediate “wow!” impressions from literally every person I “introduced” this scent to.

I love a sazerac, but I can’t drink alcohol anymore, so I try to find perfumes that summon that feeling for me. Obviously it’s a bit of a tricky line, because you don’t want to smell like you dumped a drink on yourself, but you do want to smell the drink. But this perfume absolutely fulfilled my expectations!
Something I didn’t realize until I sprayed this on: a sazerac really smells like a root beer. But I don’t mean to suggest by all this that it doesn’t smell like a sazerac—it does and it dries down to such a warm, cozy, and delicious scent I ended up drifting right off to sleep (I put this on in the evening).
Definitely going to break this out often the moment we’ve officially entered “the holidays” (let’s say… November 1).

I’m finishing my Le Sazerac sample and getting a 30 ml bottle because I want this boozy, cozy experience to continue uninterrupted. Warm, smooth, and woody, with a splash of whiskey, sugar, citrus, bitters, and spice, it’s a sophisticated and multi-layered fragrance that I can’t seem to get enough of.

This is the perfect Bourbon cocktail that lingers throughout the evening. I love it so much. A wonderful winter fragrance since I live in the desert. This is for the wearer who likes scents a little stronger and more pronounced. Probably not a great choice if you like a lighter scent.
