This is unusual and delicious. I can’t stop smelling myself!

Finally! A banana and floral with panache! Light citrus. Delicate neroli and ylang ylang. Rich vanilla and butter. Well done!

This has a sunny, yellow vanilla scent to it. It reminds me of the scent a leonine person might wear. Very summer.

I love ylang ylang and banana so I often try samples of fragrances with these notes but I’ve never found a fragrance quite like this… at first all I can smell is a mouthwatering, buttery banana. Then comes the floralcy — the jasmine and ylang ylang are sumptuous, elevating the banana note into something more elegant and adult. After an hour or so, the drydown is a soft, comforting vanilla. This scent is pure sunshine, perfect for warm afternoons and a total mood lifter!

My favorite DSH fragrance! Hansa Yellow is how I learned about DSH Perfumes to begin with.
Ylang ylang is my favorite note, but it’s so difficult to find fragrances that do it justice. Hansa Yellow opens with a juicy, tart burst of orange blossom and ylang ylang.
The vanilla gives it a tasty sweetness. I do sense a bit of banana, sort of like the mild waft from walking by a bunch sitting on a counter. Jasmine is purely support in this scent, barely detectable.
Definitely sunny, lovely yellow!

A free additional sample of Hansa Yellow was thoughtfully tucked into my most recent purchase. It was a surprise sleeper hit for me and for my fellow co-workers. We are veterinary technicians and as such are exposed to a variety of less-than desirable odors each day. Our former receptionist, a current receptionist and I are total fragrance addicts. That’s a little history! I am a struggling watercolor artist, and the concept of the chroma fragrances is intriguing. I don’t know much about hansa yellow. I have never been attracted to the warmer colors in general–for one thing, they clash with my very cool coloring. I do realized that colors can have warm and cool versions of them, for example, Aureolin is a cool, crisp yellow, and Gamboge is a warm yellow. I am not sure where Hansa Yellow falls in the yellow spectrum. To me this is a warm and somewhat “cheeky” scent. There is that banana in the notes, that adds a kind of humor to the scent. At first, banana seems a bit outrageous–and perhaps it is!–but it totally works, when flanked by the floral notes. I don’t have a very educated nose, so I often don’t know what I am smelling. I do get the jasmine, and the feel is definitely gourmand: yummy enough to eat! I wish this had greater longevity on me; but I won’t detract stars for this. I think in general natural perfumery tends not to have the tenacity of some synthetics. I also don’t really know what format would be better for me–EDP? Voile? And in all honesty, given that I love to sample around and find new things–in that quest to find The One–my fragrance budget doesn’t allow me to go the Parfum route. As I wrote at the start–this was the hit of the 5 samples I recently got. If it can make a bunch of exhausted, beat-up, stinky veterinary technicians happy, it is worth a sampling in the very least.

I first discovered Hansa Yellow when it was added to my order as a free sample. Lucky for me, because it turned out to be one of my favorite DSH perfumes! The notes are rich and light at the same time; like enjoying a fluffy banana mousse on a patio in the tropics. It is distinctly sweet and floral, but has a freshness that makes it wearable even for someone like me who usually goes for light fragrances. A scent that is totally unique, comforting and joyful.

This is such a unique perfume! I haven’t smelled anything like it yet and I’m impressed with the perfect balance of fruit floral and lightly sweet notes here. It smells fun and playful, truly like sunshine! I can imagine myself wearing this whenever I need a little mood boost.

It’s dreamy, tropical, lactonic bliss. I mainly get ylang ylang, banana, and a buttery sandalwood. I rarely see banana as a perfume note and that’s a shame because it is so delightful.

Oh, what a happy scent! It smells like sunshine and banana milkshake and summer. Definitely one of my favourites. It does not smell “perfumey”, it just smells good. This is what I appreciate in many of the DSH perfumes. They just smell good, without sharp edges and chemical attacks on my nose.

Ooooh. This might be the most summery-yellow-fleurmand ever! Lemon chiffon pie, banana popsicles, and velvety yellow petals. Perfection! I had to get a full size of this, it’s just too good to pass up on.

A happy yellow, both creamy and bright. Among the friendliest of perfumes I’ve encountered. I tried this perfume in the winter and the banana and tropical flowers sent me on a daydream to a warm island.

A tropical flower and fruit aroma, a mixture of all kinds of white flowers and banana cream, sweet but not straightforward, a little lemon dilutes the sweetness, is the fragrance that smells happy~
