Description

A coming together of Rome and Egypt, like Antony and Cleopatra.  The cool Mediterranean Iris meets the sensual spice and incense of Egypt… with modern new world woods.

Iridum, as it comes to us from the ancients in the Roman / Latin, is the closest of all of the “New Kingdom” releases to the original concept of the scent, as it is nearly all botanical, but some stylistic liberties were taken in the form of new materials to render a gorgeous, woody / incense Orris that is chic, more modern than earthy, and quite universal (unisex).

* EdT / VdT sample vials are 1/2 filled; Perfume / Extrait mini roller vials are full.

**FYI: the Voile de Toilette format is created with natural IPM.

Mysterious, ancient and rich, a touch floral with incense taking me to other worlds. Wearing Iridum makes me feel wise, sensuous, and of the trees.

  2. Arneblaze

This is a very interesting combination of orris root and what seems like a dark, smoky cedar/burnt sugar base, which gives it a seductive oriental flair.

Quite original in its composition and a fine addition to the world of the iris- centered perfumes.

This is probably worthy of five stars but I just can’t get myself to love Iris. It’s powdery and green and earthy and complex enough that I can appreciate it. If a scent could hum or thrum this is what it does. There’s just something about orris that’s strangely too sweet or too cool for my scent personality but there are a few folks I’d consider gifting this too with high praise.

I’m a sucker for most iris/orris perfumes. I love incense, too. Both fit together very well when the incense is soft.
With Iridium, I feel like I’m wearing a sueded silk blouse in a deep violet hue. It feels gentle and luxurious.
The hint of rose and the grounding Tolu and nestle up to a very gentle cinnamon and cardamom. These serve to hold the iris up high and to keep it in place.
It’s a bit powdery but not too much. It’s slightly sweet and exotic.
If you love iris, you’ll love this.

Sweet, powdery and a little waxy. I received this a a sample and was blown away. I love orris – this is one of the riches expressions of it I own. A little spicy – sometimes it reminds me of iced herbal tea.

    A favorite.
