Melancholic and otherworldly, Memory + Desire no.1 is a soft chypre with real oakmoss weight, lilting floral touches and a strange but wonderful sumi ink (accord) note.

Inky, delicately fragrant black tea – but not the cheap supermarket kind. This is the tea sold loose, expensively priced, found in a small boutique whose storefront you stumbled into after getting out of that train station, the location forgotten after the first sip. The scent is rooty and earthy with hints of sweetness, and wears close to the skin. Warm and lovely (and suits the poem quite well, I think).
