About This Product
There’s a kind of dada-esque quality to the name, which I love, that speaks to the silky ‘texture’ of the fragrance and it’s overall “grey-blue-violet” tonality (connoted by the main orris note and is the ‘mauve’ reference). The odd (but wonderful) balance of orris – violet – animalic nuances counterbalanced with gourmand notes of anise and cocoa beans is quite unexpected. The gourmand aspects bring the idea of “marshmallow” into a new focus.
Guimauve de Soie is unlike anything else in my collections to date; I am very excited by this design and it’s such a pleasure to present it as my first original creation of 2012.

This is a wonderful fragrance, gourmand but much more than that as it develops on the skin, very feminine and
sensual. A fave for me and definitely for women who want softness but sensuality in the fragrance.

I simply love this satin soft perfume created by Dawn from Carrie’s desires. Just so lovely~ and seems perfectly like what I have always wanted in a powdery violet perfume.

My skin amps sweetness, so it’s rare that a gourmand so utterly captures my fancy. This is an almond croissant, more rich than sweet, trailing springtime’s green violet. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist.

Absolutely delicious. Feminine, soft, sophisticated. It opens with lush, pure violet and unfolds into a creamy, dreamy scent that is not so much a note-by-note trek, but rather a decadent journey that’s a little of this, a little of that. Projection is modest and I wish the scent lasted longer. Still, the overall effect is quietly powerful and posh; ladylike luxury.
