“Orange Blossom Water of the King”. Orange Blossom, the epitome of grace and lightness, was one of the most sought after essences of the 18th Century and in the Court of Louis XV; aptly called “Le Cour Parfumée” (The Perfumed Court). Eau de Fleurs d’Oranger was synonymous with Louis XV, so much so, that it was re-named “Eau de Fleurs d’Oranger du Roi” posthumously.

Aromatic citrus/neroili head that fades to a gorgeous neroli/pollen heart and base. Love the polleny heart of this scent. This is my favorite of all the nerolis I’ve sampled. How did I live without this before?

not sure i care for this on my skin, i love trying samples and always give a few times of trying on the wrist before making a choice, was looking more to the smell of an orange orchard in bloom.

This became a mainstay of mine during our unusually hot summer. It goes on fresh and sharp, almost bitter, like the oil that comes off of orange zest. Then the floral sets in. I love orange blossom scent, and this is light and not cloying. Very refreshing, not overly feminine.

Rather than analyze the effects of different notes, which others can do far better than I can, I’ll just say that where perfume is concerned, I put my money where my mouth is–and in this case, that means two bottles’ worth. Sheer fresh delicate delight!
