Noel Enchanté {Enchanted Christmas : Holiday fragrance no.15}

(3 customer reviews)

$6.00 – $145.00

A rich tuberose floral – ambery – chypre.  Noel Enchanté starts with a green hit in the topnote as it moves into a tuberose heart.  Amber, spices, and a deep oakmoss finish, vintage style, in the drydown.  *Definitely a dark take on a white flower and a tuberose that’s great on a man or woman.

Description

A hot house flower in winter.  A mix of heady tropical flowers with classic spice/ambery and deep, rich chypre elements.

This year’s Holiday fragrance is inspired by the vintage tradition, for men and women alike, to wear hot house flowers in winter on their lapels, in their hair, and in corsages.  For the night life and for parties, the most elegant would don their finery and a heady ‘white flower’ to complete their style.

Noel Enchanté is a tribute to this sensual elegance as we raise our glasses to celebrate the Holiday Season and the coming of the New Year!

*VdP sample vials, as well as Perfume / Extrait mini roller vials, are full.

    As Dear Husband said when he smelled this on my neck today, “Wowee”. Dark animalic balsamic love potion in a bottle. Tuberose, amber, resins, spice on oakmoss bring old school oriental chypres like My Sin to mind. Dawn really has the magic touch when it comes to making modern retros. Gorgeous.

    What an absolute pleasure to wear! This is such a lovely floral oriental – all the warmth, richness and furriness of a vintage, yet without the thickness that can sometimes make vintages difficult or at least distracting to wear.

    The floral notes here are soft and warm – there is tuberose, but the tuberose note here is a low-key contralto note, it has none of the insistence of scents like Fracas or even Poison. My favourite part of the scent, though, is the hazy resinous-spicy accord woven throughout that reminds me of the smell of a scarf that has the subtle remnants of YSL Opium still lingering on it.

    Just as the description says, an intoxicating mix of white flowers, vanilla, exotic spices and a deft touch of citruses, supported in the back by/drying down into a beautiful chypre bed of amber, oakmoss and gentle patchouli. Genuinely swoon-inducing. I love it on me as a man, but it’d probably be all the better on a woman.
    Just another exquisite work of art in Dawn’s sea of masterpieces.
