Description
Somewhere between the Stargazer and the pure white lilies, Madonna Lily and Casablanca, you will find my fantasy, “Lis Oriental”. I’ve dreamt for many years about designing a true lily perfume using only botanical materials but I hadn’t been able to assemble the perfect materials to construct it until now.
It’s truly exciting to present something so new, but so known and beloved, too; a rare spiced lily that exists in a gloriously fragrant jungle. The humidity brings out the lush sensuality in the bloom but it never crosses over into the land of the cloying and chokingly sweet as some lilies can. The greenness of the surrounding foliage is apparent as the fragrance opens and is the perfect counterbalance to spice, and the pure lily trumpet. Finally, you rest upon the palm fronds and soft woods of the jungle floor. No decay, just a sweet and mellow pillow to rest your head and continue dreaming.

To say that this fragrance is successful in its intent is a grand understatement. Lis Oriental is a magnificent achievement: a true re- creation of the lilies that drench the air of your dining room from their place at the table’s center, or the Stargazers that herald the bride as she makes her way down the aisle. I must confess that it’s my dream perfume; I want to bathe in it, and have it scent my days and nights. I’m very grateful to Dawn for her brilliance in transforming what could have been, in other hands, a pedestrian gesture into a full-blooming miracle for the senses.

I’ve found the Summer Naturals to be a great line. The scents are long lasting and delightful. In this one, the lilies and the spice are a perfect balance of spice and sweet—not too much of either one. Highly recommend!

Lis Oriental feels like I’m taking a breath of fresh spring air. It is invigorating and refreshing, the smell of flowers and new green plants unfolding in the dew of morning.

Beautiful bundle of freshly clipped lilies, with a subtle spiced undercurrent that lends the scent a hot and humid vibe. It amazingly reminds me of the way a tropical greenhouse smells…ginger lily growing by the water and vegetation crunching under a shoe. Lovely!

All of Dawn’s botanical perfumes are other-worldly and this beauty is no exception. Lis Oriental is an experience of the flower in her surroundings ~ gorgeously natural lily and fields of green, sun in a bright blue sky and grass gently nodding in the breeze. I am not always a fan of lily fragrances although I love the smell of the flower itself ~ this one captures its natural beauty better than any other I’ve ever experienced and transports me right to Spring! Absolutely special.

This is an absolutely gorgeous lily-centric floral perfume. It’s fresh and realistic, like taking a deep breath straight from the flower surrounded by lush greenery on a beautiful & warm spring day. It has just the right amount of spice to balance the other notes, nothing overpowers anything else while allowing the lily to shine, and it really conjures up an image/scene in my mind as I smell it. I’m someone that generally does not go for floral scents, but I’ve been finding out that I do sometimes enjoy lily notes and slowly searching for more perfumes with it to try. So far this is the best and I could see myself wearing it often, especially in the warmer months.
