Each fragrant design embodies a modern twist on perfume aesthetics of late 19th Century France: an aldehydic-gourmand, a new take on the violet floral and a love child of the orientalist movement and the fad of fougere.

About This Product

Experience Belle Epoque Paris and the 19th Century French countryside through the senses of sight and smell. Inspired by images in DAM’s “Passport to Paris” exhibit as well as perfumery innovations and trends of the late 19th Century, DSH has created three aroma art perfumes that breathe new life into a by-gone era.
“I am in love with the later part of 19th Century France, in both the visual arts and in the world of perfumery”, says Dawn Spencer Hurwitz. “It was truly exciting to express these images in fragrant form as well as to give the perfumes a more modern cachet so that they would appeal to our 21st century sensibilities while giving the wearer a feel for the past”.

* The discovery set includes a 3ml deluxe mini sprayer of each design in a gauze pouch. Plus a bonus : a 1 ml vial of “La Reine des Fleurs” EdP,commissioned by DAM for their Untitled Event in conjunction with the Passport to Paris show in January, 2015.

Of the three perfumes in this collection I would buy full bottles of Amuse Bouche and Passport a Paris. I don’t tend to like violet notes in perfume so it is no fault of the perfumer that I didn’t gravitate towards Vers la Violette. They are all brilliantly executed and as they were my first introduction to DSH perfumes I am eagerly looking forward to trying more!

I now need a restored set of vintage weekend luggage to visit Paris with – sigh… 🙂 These scents truly take your mind and emotions THERE! 🙂 Linda
