My Rave Fave! I want a huge bottle to bathe in (I started with the great inexpensive samplers). I am in love with this sweet comforting scent with an exotic twist. Yummy.

It smells exactly like a spicey hot cocoa drink I’ve made for myself. Ingredients: cocoa soy milk vanilla sugar cayenne pepper cinnamon dash of salt. I heard of some who drank cocoa like this I LOVE “Piment et Chocolat.”

This is like Mayan spiced chocolate; initially bracing and piquant, and then mellowing into dry, spicy oriental warmth. It is toothsome without venturing into twee sweetness; a grown-up gourmand.

If you’ve seen the film Chocolat, starring Julia Ormand and Johnny Depp, this EDP is the perfect embodiment of it. Rebellious, sensual, grounded, spicy, sweet (with just enough wistful smokiness to keep it from being saccharine), and oh-so-enigmatic, this scent will bring out your inner cacao-sipping gypsy and take her for a twirl to your favorite Django song under a full moon.

This perfume was highly recommended in one of my favorite magazines. I was looking for a new fragrance to wear this time of the year and thought I’d give Piment et Chocolat a try. When I received my order, I was more than just pleasantly surprised! First, the packaging is lovely- it comes wrapped in beautiful red paper with gold-stamped embellishments. But the fragrance is the real treat- with all the spice and chocolate scents, it smells earthy and warm. I absolutely loved it and will definitely by re-ordering!!

I keep ordering this one! Chocolate in the background, luscious and dark. Spices all around. A great scent. I get asked what I am wearing, people are drawn to it. A wonderful scent any time of year!

There’s just no better way to beat these col-weather blues than with this yummy, warm, spicy and chocolaty perfume! I have just put in my second order. Invigorating in daytime, snuggly at night.

Quite possibly my favorite fragrance EVER, I’ve reordered this in different forms several times. Extremely comforting to wear, and everyone will say you smell fantastic!

If one were to liken fragrance to texture, Piment et Chocolat would be more of a velvet spice scent -rather than Astro-Turf. It is warm and smooth and soft, not nose-ticklingly spicy like certain other ginger/spice perfumes I’ve tried. Lovely and comforting.

I love several DSH fragrances but keep coming back to Piment et Chocolat as my favorite. It’s sexy, spicy and rich! A very unique fragrance.
Arneblaze –
An exceptional gourmand scent and one of the few truly successful re-creations of cocoa.
The spiciness of adding red chiles to hot chocolate, a treat both for the nose and the palate, only came into mainstream knowledge with the successful film, CHOCOLAT (Juliette Binoche), and now we have an equivalent for the nose alone.
Pimento, Chiles and Paprika float above Clove, Nutmeg and Cinnamon, resting on Cocoa Beans and Chocolate. It morphs into a dreamy, tobacco-like warmth that is irresistible
Another triumph for DSH!

My favorite holiday party scent. This is a spicy, decadent, come-hither chocolate that exudes sophistication and more than a little mystery. There is nothing sugary or innocent about it.

This became such a favourite in my house I had to buy another; my son uses it all the time. One of my all time favourites.

I absolutely love Piment et Chocolat! I wanted a new scent 5 years ago and it has become my favorite. I love the spicy and sweet combination and will keep coming back for more!

Have tried a bunch of chocolate fragrances, and this one has to go to the top of my list. It is a spicy chocolate, but yet a completely wearable gourmand, not juvenile, having both a formal bent to it, but with the cozy homey-ness that I have come to associate with DSH that is just so inviting. An amazing scent, and it’s so awesome to have natural botanical fragrances available of such high quality. Having discovered DSH over a year ago, I have become a life-long fan. This is what I wish perfumery would focus much more on…this is doing it right.

I find this perfume to be very comforting. It is sweet but not too sweet, warm and spicy. It’s definitely a chypre which is usually not my favorite and I actually hadn’t noticed that in the description! But I’m glad I missed it as it’s become a regular in the rotation. And all natural to boot! Highly recommend it:)

Picante perfecta/o.
This may have been the gateway drug to Dawn’s enormous collection.
Classic, sumptuous, utterly meant for all humans, all moods, all seasons (ok, depending on the mood).
You must request a sample with your next order.

I will never be without this one, so well blended and addictive, just like the food itself, but with a lovely spicy kick that is totally wearable in all seasons, just sexy and warm.
Krista Grossmann –
This fragrance is both warm and subtle. The chocolate is a calm and constant backdrop through the entire wear while the spice varies over time. When first putting it on, I can smell the pepper and it catches my interest with each whiff. After a while it dissipates into a spiced chocolate that isn’t overly sweet but still complex.
I absolutely adore this scent and plan on wearing it year round, though it would be excellent on a chilly day.

Once there’s a little bit of a nip in there air, it means its time to whip out Piment et Chocolat. It’s so warming and uniquely cozy, like drinking Mexican hot chocolate. The performance has been impressing, especially as my little bottle ages, still giving off whiffs twelve hours later.

I admit that in the first few seconds, I got a little worried that it might be too foodie for me. That quickly changed as the fragrance developed, and the spicy amber notes created more depth behind the cacao note. I find this to be an addictive, unisex chocolate gourmand with an edge. Think Mexican hot chocolate, but as a perfume. That chocolate note here is warm and rich, as opposed to saccharine sweet or creamy. On my “to buy” list!
