Alba (From Across the Alps)
Many wonderful works of Renaissance Art were created in Northern climes. Tapestries were known especially from the Flemish through France and into Italy. Alba was inspired by one such tapestry from the late 1500′s, woven at a Brussels workshop. The tapestry is made of wool and silk and the fragrance has been designed to convey that subtle sense of texture.
Alba also takes it’s inspiration from alpine flowers, delicate flowering trees and a delicacy of the northern landscape, white truffle.

Au Lait (a milk scent)
Sweet dreams: a touch of warm milk before bedtime… what could be more cozy? Au Lait is a sweet milky skin scent* that leaves your skin smelling fresh and creamy – sweet in the drydown. *(One of our “skin scents” that adds a natural, “not-too-perfumey” fragrance to the skin).
Bourbon Vanilla
An exotic vanilla bean from an island off the coast of Madagascar. Bourbon Vanilla is an intensely rich and warm vanilla note with an almost burnt cocoa bean quality in the dry down. Sooo delicious and rather beautiful on a man.
Cafe Noir
It is a Paris night. Dark and sophisticated, it evokes late concerts in smoke filled rooms…sipping coffee and listening to jazz. Captivating and sensual, Cafe Noir is an oriental fragrance that harmonizes spice, floral, resin and wood notes with the beloved aroma of black coffee. Cafe Noir fuses classical sensibilities with the flair of the artist.

Caravan Spice (Holiday no.11)
For our Holiday scent, 2011, we went ‘old school’… a kind of nostalgic remembrance of holidays past and the designs I used to create when living in Boston and how the season felt to me there. This is a cozy and warm spice scent with ambery nuances and a sense of home near a warm fireplace. Of course, the name recalls the old-world caravans that carry the spices from exotic lands to our homes.
Cimabue
Opulent. Enigmatic. Beguiling.
My Italian Journey no.8; A journey of time and space, rather than a physical one. Cimabue (pronounced chim-ah-boo-ey) was the artist to bridge the opulence of Byzantium with the insight, knowledge and brilliance of the Florentine Renaissance.

Egyptian Shalimar
A sweet balsamic-vanilla oriental accord with an “Eau de Cologne” top note.
Gingembre (ginger no.1)
Luscious. Intoxicating. Chic.

Guimauve de Soie
A brand new design collaboration with Carrie Meredith from “eyeliner on a cat” blog is an abstraction of texture and synesthetic color (and a slight play on words: guimauve) which translates to “Silk Marshmallow”.
There’s a kind of dada-esque quality to the name, which I love, that speaks to the silky ‘texture’ of the fragrance and it’s overall “grey-blue-violet” tonality (connoted by the main orris note and is the ‘mauve’ reference). The odd (but wonderful) balance of orris – violet – animalic nuances counterbalanced with gourmand notes of anise and cocoa beans is quite unexpected. The gourmand aspects bring the idea of “marshmallow” into a new focus.
Guimauve de Soie is unlike anything else in my collections to date; I am very excited by this design and it’s such a pleasure to present it as my first original creation of 2012.

Hanukah Cannelle (Holiday no.9)
This year’s Holiday scent was inspired by my favorite Hanukah dish: one made of apples, cinnamon, nuts and honey. Of course, I’ve taken some artistic liberties to create a Holiday perfume that’s sexy, luscious and a delight to wear.

Inspired by the inimitable French artist Toulouse-Lautrec and his images of Parisian high-life in the 19th Century. This luscious fruity, floral chypre-oriental speaks of nights of gaiety and memories of the Moulin Rouge!

Ma Folie de Noel (aka My Christmas Folly; Holiday no.6)
This year for my Holiday fragrance I wanted to create a nostalgic scent. One that brings together myriad elements of my childhood Holiday memories with essenses found in special desserts and candlelight ceremony; even hints of chill, snowy air. It’s a wonderfully fun and very happy perfume. It really is “My Christmas Folly”! I hope you’ll like it as much as we all LOVE it!!
Mahjoun
Exotic. Sensuous. Delicious.
Based on a Moroccan delicacy of exotic spices, flower buds, desert fruits, sensuous honey and precious woods, Mahjoun is filled with the life of the bazaar by day and the depth of a Marrakesh night. It is simply divine.

Piment et Chocolat

Pretty & Pink
A modern fruity floral that balances youthful folly with rich sophistication. Our re-launched version puts the emphasis on a rosewater, true Bulgarian rose and fresh Spring floral bouquet heart mixed with a new plummy nuance in the top note. There’s still the ultra-modern vibe of the crystalline musk drydown and a soft sandalwood note finish. This is our prettiest pink (rose) scent yet!
Prince
Regal. Esoteric. Ominous.
I came across an obscure yet prized 17th Century textile color called Prince and was immediately captivated. It was described as an ‘indigo-blue-black shot through with crimson red’. Designed in a 17th Century fragrance style, Prince is the only ‘aroma-color’ to be free of a modern feel.

Sienna (A Cinnamon Perfume)
Redolent. Distinctive. Tempting.
The aroma of ‘burnt sienna’, a warm earth tone pigment. An inspiration for “Sienna” is Picasso’s cubist work “Three Women”.

St. Valentine
Cupid’s arrows are flying only to pierce our hearts with love. Romance is in the air and we come bearing our most cherished tokens: violets, red roses and chocolate. St. Valentine is an elixir of love… a sensual floriental-gourmand perfume of richness and grace.
Vanille (Vanilla)
A classic. My own version of a cherished favorite; luscious and decadent but not too sweet. Based on the French tradition, it is the ultimate in richness and love in a fragrance.
Vanille Botanique
A striking and original vanilla design created for indiescents.com; we have had such overwhelming interest in an all botanical vanilla for our Garden Bathe collection that we had to release it in a limited capacity here as well. Vanille Botanique is a luscious, balsamic vanilla in the classical style. A soft jasmine heart and bergamot top note balance and round out the bouquet. Such deliciousness!
