Caravan Spice (Holiday no.11)
For our Holiday scent, 2011, we went ‘old school’… a kind of nostalgic remembrance of holidays past and the designs I used to create when living in Boston and how the season felt to me there. This is a cozy and warm spice scent with ambery nuances and a sense of home near a warm fireplace. Of course, the name recalls the old-world caravans that carry the spices from exotic lands to our homes.

An ancient aroma of sacred incense…the Holy Smoke of the Midnight Mass rises with a blessing for the coming year.
Firefly
At night in the early autumn, the firefly dances and dazzles the eye. Firefly is composed of dense richness, woody dryness, and a smoldering soft sweetness!

A winter sanctuary: That place of deep serenity and peace represented by a warm, oude-incense chypre with a lovely winter rose heart.
Kohl Gris
Inspired by a collaboration with 3 Custom Color Specialists, this aroma-color is “Charcoal Grey”. The colors for Holiday 2009 are silver, red and grey and Kohl Gris is the scent of the smoky eye; sexy, seductive and smoldering. Built on a classical base of ambergris, Kohl Gris wafts in sensuality and spicy smoke.
Le Smoking
Le Smoking: The Tuxedo: c.1968-1975
The Tuxedo for a woman was revolutionary and avant-garde at the time that YSL began introducing the style into his collection. Inspired somewhat by the smoking jacket and women’s liberation, the Tuxedo was a continuous muse for every subsequent collection right until the last. “Le Smoking” , named after the first Tuxedo design, is a sophisticated green chypre fragrance based of course on the Blond Tabac (fine cigarette) note as well as the new ‘marijuana’ cigarette and Moroccan incense.

Artistic. Provocative. Suave.
This vintage inspired woody/resinous/conifer design for men expresses the scent of the artist; some notes from the studio, leather bound books, hints of smoke and a whisper of aged single malt scotch. Incredible!

Muguet Cologne
Limited Edition Spring 2011:
Here is my Muguet Cologne, stated for men, but really it is for anyone. Designed in the ‘eau de cologne’ style, the concentration is lighter and the overall feel is woodier and greener than a soliflore. For me, there is something about it that rings very true to an element of Muguet… kind of stylized like an art deco figure. It’s fresh and refreshing and I feel very approachable and easy to wear. I just loved the concept of creating a Muguet Cologne for men to enjoy this delicious Spring treasure.
100% Botanical.
As well, an original art work (acrylic/ sumi ink/ interference pigment on rice paper) was created through the inspiration of creating the perfume design.
Parfum de Luxe
On the Riviera, I was overwhelmed by the charm and grace of my surroundings. The Perfume in the air was magnificent. Inspired by the Art Deco movement of the 1920´s and ´30´s, Parfum de Luxe is rich, pure and confident.

In the deepest woods on the darkest night…the scent of the Solstice.
Umber: bois de rose
Secretive. Aesthetic. Spellbinding.
Inspired by the deep, moody earth tones of umber, as well as the enigmatic Renaissance image “The Tempest” by Giorgione. Umber: bois de rose is most certainly for lovers of the sensually strange not of the perfume novice. The subtitle of bois de rose connotes a deep rosy/ woody / violet nuance made to sparkle with true bois de rose in the topnote.

Vetyver
Confident. Expressive. Superb.
Beyond the classical form of Vetyver, which is usually a more a vetiver based, lime peel dominant, eau de cologne style scent. Our Vetyver accentuates and revels in the smoky, woody-earthy nature of the grass root with added notes of birch tar, tabac and rich balsams.
In partnership with the LAMBI fund, sales from DSH Vetyver will support the rebuilding in Haiti and continue funding rural relief. *30% of retail sales will goes to help those in need.
